Privacy Policy
What AI Video News collects when you sign in, upload photos and generate videos, who processes it, how long we keep it and the choices you have.
Last updated: 2026-10-18
This policy explains what personal data AI Video News (ai-videonews.live, "we", "us") handles when you visit the site, sign in, upload photos and generate videos: what we collect, why we need it, who helps us process it, how long we keep it and how you can control it. Please read it together with our Terms of Service.
Who we are
AI Video News (ai-videonews.live) is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, write to support@ai-videonews.live.
What we collect
- Account details. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account identifier with us. We never see your Google password. If you sign up with an email address, we store that address, the name you enter and a hashed (unreadable) version of your password.
- Photos you upload. The one or two photos of people, pets or characters you add as the cast of a video.
- Generated videos and job details. The finished silent videos listed under "Your takes", together with the template you picked, the options you chose, the job ID, its status and timestamps.
- Credits and purchases. Your credit balance and its history: free sign-up credits, packs bought, credits spent, credits returned after a failed job, and expiry dates. For each purchase our payment provider tells us the order number, pack, amount, currency, payment status and the email used at checkout. Card and wallet details are entered on the provider's own checkout page and never reach our servers.
- Messages you send us. Support emails, tickets, refund and takedown requests, and anything you choose to include in them.
- Technical data. Standard request data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and request times, which we use to run, secure and troubleshoot the site. Your active sign-in sessions record the IP address and browser they were opened from. When you create an account we also store the country your request came from, as worked out from your IP address by our hosting network. We do not store a more precise location.
- How you found us. If you arrive through a tagged link or from another website, we remember the campaign tags (utm parameters) and the referring site's domain for up to 30 days and attach them to your account if you sign up, so we can tell which channels bring new users. We do not keep the full address of the referring page.
- Analytics, only with your consent. See "Cookies and analytics" below.
How we use it
We use your data to:
- create and secure your account and keep your videos tied to it on any device;
- send your photos and the chosen template to our AI provider, then store the result and show it to you;
- keep track of credits, process purchases, return credits for failed jobs, and prevent abuse of free credits or payments;
- enforce our Terms of Service, including the consent and age rules for uploads, and handle takedown requests;
- answer support requests and send service emails such as sign-in verification, password resets and purchase confirmations;
- understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and which channels bring visitors, so we can improve it.
We do not use your photos or videos to train AI models, and we never use them in our marketing, on our website or on social media without your explicit permission.
Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland). We process account, upload, video and credit data to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract); technical, security, fraud-prevention and visit-source data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a safe, working service; payment and accounting records to meet our legal obligations; and optional analytics cookies only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
How your photos are processed
When you start a generation, your photos and the template's reference clip are sent to KIE.ai, a third-party API provider that runs the AI video model which recasts the clip with your cast. The finished video is copied back to our own storage on Cloudflare R2 and listed under "Your takes". Your photos are kept in our storage as well, so the job can run and you can reuse them.
The AI model uses your photos only to render the video. We do not use them to identify anyone, and we do not create face templates or other biometric identifiers from them.
Uploads and results may go through automated safety checks run by us or by our AI provider. A job that is blocked is not delivered, and its credits are returned to your balance.
Uploaded photos and generated videos are stored under long, random file addresses and are linked only from your own account. Anyone who obtains the direct link to a file can open it, so share download links only with people you trust.
People in your photos
If you upload photos of other people, you must have their permission first (see the Terms of Service). If you appear in a photo or video that someone else made with AI Video News and you did not agree to it, email us at support@ai-videonews.live with the subject "Takedown request" and we will review it and remove the material where appropriate.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, and only as far as each of them needs:
- KIE.ai receives your photos and the template clip to generate your video, and returns the result.
- Cloudflare hosts the website, its database and our file storage (R2), and protects the site from attacks. It processes request data such as IP addresses.
- Google handles "Sign in with Google" and, only if you accept analytics cookies, provides Google Analytics.
- Microsoft provides Clarity heatmaps and session recordings, only if we enable Clarity and you accept analytics cookies.
- Payment providers such as Stripe or Creem, or Alipay and WeChat Pay for payments in Chinese yuan, depending on the method you choose. They process your payment under their own privacy policies and may collect billing details for fraud checks and tax. Some of them act as merchant of record or reseller for your purchase.
- Our email provider delivers service emails such as verification codes, password resets and replies to support requests.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to answer a valid legal request, or to protect our users, the public or the service from fraud, abuse or harm. If AI Video News is sold or merged, your data may pass to the new owner, who must keep honoring this policy.
Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of first-party cookies that the site needs in order to work:
- Sign-in session (better-auth session cookies) keeps you signed in until you sign out or the session expires.
- Language (
PARAGLIDE_LOCALE) remembers whether you chose English or Chinese. - Cookie choice (
cookie_consent) remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, for 12 months. - Visit source (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_term,utm_contentandfirst_referrer) remembers how you first arrived, for up to 30 days, as described above.
The site also keeps a few small items in your browser's local storage, such as interface preferences and cached settings. They stay on your device.
Optional analytics. If you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner, Google Analytics may set its cookies (_ga and _ga_*, which last up to 13 months) and, if we enable it, Microsoft Clarity may set its own (_clck and _clsk). These tools can receive the pages you view, clicks and scrolling, the referring site, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and browser and device details. We do not deliberately send them your photos, videos, email address or payment details. If we show ads, accepting also allows the advertising script and its cookies to load.
If you decline, or have not chosen yet, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. Google Analytics then runs in Google Consent Mode with storage denied, which means it may receive limited, cookieless signals such as a page view, but cannot recognize you across visits. The studio works the same whichever you choose. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, after which the banner asks again, or by writing to us.
For more detail, see Google's privacy policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
How long we keep it
- Photos and videos stay in your account for as long as the account exists, so you can come back to them. You can ask us to delete individual uploads or videos at any time.
- Account details are kept until you delete your account.
- Credit and payment records are kept for as long as tax, accounting and fraud-prevention rules require, including after an account is deleted.
- Technical logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymized.
- Support messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter and keep a record of it.
Deleting your data or your account
To delete specific uploads or videos, or your whole account, email support@ai-videonews.live from the address you sign in with. We delete the account, its profile, photos and videos within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records. Copies in backups expire on their normal cycle.
Deleting your account also removes any remaining credits; refunds for unused purchased credits follow our Terms of Service. If you signed in with Google, you can also remove our access at any time in your Google Account settings.
International transfers
We and our providers operate in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live, including in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws differ from yours. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or our providers' equivalent commitments.
Security
Connections to the site are encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are stored only as hashes, and access to our systems and storage is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy in a portable format;
- correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- have your data deleted;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw your consent at any time (for example, to analytics cookies) without affecting processing that already took place;
- complain to your local data-protection authority.
EEA, UK and Switzerland. These rights come from the GDPR and similar laws. You can also ask us which legal basis applies to a particular use of your data.
California and other US states. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) and several other states can ask what personal information we collect, use and disclose, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or its use for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof of that authorization.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@ai-videonews.live from the address on your account. We may need to confirm your identity before acting. We reply within 30 days, or within the longer period the law allows when a request is complex.
Children
AI Video News is for adults. You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and photos showing anyone under 18 are not allowed, even with a parent's permission. If you believe a child has used the service or appears in an upload, contact us and we will delete the data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. If a change is significant, we will let signed-in users know by email or on the site before it takes effect.
